Entry#4 A Scare to the Face

Another day, Another blog. What's going on guys, we're back at it again. I love typing and talking about things I enjoy. I love watching movies more than shows usually. I can't keep up with too many episodes, I'll end up losing track if it's not in one sitting.

My favorite movie I've watched so far was scarface. It has taught me so many lessons that I've never noticed or paid attention to. I've watched it a couple of times now, one with my brother and another time with all my friends.  One thing about scarface that was thoughtful is the unchecked ambition and his hunger for power that made him leave his job at the restaurant, washing dishes. He felt like he was at his lowest in life. He needed money, he was hungry for USD. Growing up in Cuba, with no dad, he had to be the family man making money and feeding his sister and mom. Ideas stared to eat his brain. Too much brainstorming comes with consequences. He continued to have a dream of having a bigger role in his life but his inability to set limits to himself ended up being the opposite towards what he was trying to achieve as it led to his downfall and not keeping what he had because of greed and led to becoming in a loss of everything he owned.

Loyalty was another big thing in scarface where it showed the relationship between tony and manny. Many was his day one friend that went through the same thing Tony went through.  Their overthinking and paranoia that led them to make enemies out of people that weren’t a threat.  Another important thing that stood out for Tony was that in his world, betrayal was present and can happen anytime and that led to mistrusting and ended up isolated by himself. Prime example is when . Manny, his bestfriend, got with Tony's sisterManny taking that step made tony angry to the point where he shot and killed his own friend. Family comes first in every world.

Another thing was how having power without self control can turn very bad quickly and just like the saying with great power comes great responsibility, Tony’s gain of wealth and influence affected him in a way where he lost himself by becoming addicted to drugs which made him lose that mental and emotional control over what he owned that made him end up in losing what he owned. All those business deals he messed out on.

Entry #3 Randomly by Lucki

Hello everyone, welcome back, another day, another blog. Today I'm lucki(lucky) to announce blog #3 which is about one of my favorite rappers that I personally watched coming up and gaining all the fame over social media. Lucki the artist has made many different genres throughout his journey of one of the greatest come ups from Chicago. One of his biggest hits is a songs called "Randomly."

Eli Clark which is also known as Lucki is a 28 year old rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Lucki Gained most of his recognition by using his mumbling style of singing and producing his songs. This type of genre attracted many teenagers all over social media platforms. This included the day to day videos people publish on Tiktok. Not only that but he even got the recognition and attention from parents listening to their kid's music. Lucki's one of one style has made it to the outfit videos published on Tiktok. Many young teens would use Lucki's songs to display their outfits of the day. People picked his songs due to the fact that he was known to release calm and relaxing songs. This type of music made it an easy pick for any type of chill and soothing videos. Lucki took the risk of dropping out of high school to pursue his dream of becoming rich and famous. After high school 0he made a lot of connection at a young age knowing people like, Future, Chief Keef, Yung Thugg, etc. Thus move helped his career sky rocket and it brought him to the position he's at currently. This only means he's growing day by day. His album "freewave 3" peaked which made fans want more music, making him drop another album, " days B4 lll." This led to his biggest hits so far named "Randomly."

His song "Randomly" is a reflection of the melancholic style and it showed his features of hazy production, the theme of drug use, and the unpredictability of relationships in life. What's special about his music is that it feels reflective and personal which connects to the listener more as it gives that sense of being conscious of what's around you.

I specifically picked this song out of all of the released hits is because of how my life relates to the song a lot. He specifically mentioned in the  song the following lyric; "my ex be fans of me, when it all got real, you ran on me." I relate to that because I feel like after the break up of my relationship I focused on growing and improving myself by doing things for me and not someone else. This move got me to where I am at now. I'm grateful for the things I own but there's always something better out there. Having this mindset doesn't just put the pressure but it also motivates you to achieve greater things in life.
